Michael Knott

I began my real estate career in 2007, right in the middle of the Great Recession-an unconventional time to start, but the difficult market conditions helped to establish my work ethic. In 2011, at the age of 25, I acquired my first property with the intention of renting it out. However, halfway through the renovation, I realized the value of the property had increased so much that it made sense to sell it and it became my first flip.

That experience kicked off my passion for real estate investing. I began building a portfolio in my hometown of Sacramento before expanding into other markets, including Nevada, Georgia, Texas, and Indiana. In 2018, I stepped into the world of multifamily investing with the purchase of an 8-unit apartment building in Wichita Falls, Texas. After a full rehab and sale of the property, I completed my first 1031 exchange, trading up to a larger asset-and I haven't looked back since.

Over the years, I've continued to grow my multifamily portfolio, learning the ins and outs of property management, value-add strategies, and market analysis across diverse regions. Now, after more than a decade of investing with my own capital, I’m opening the doors to others who want to build wealth through real estate. That’s why I founded Knott Capital Group-to bring smart, strategic real estate opportunities to a wider circle of investors.
